The University of Virginia was preparing for March Madness at the same time that Balti Virtual was creating an augmented reality version of their mascot, Cav Man. It was perfect timing! The project started when the Senior Director of UVA Clubs and Global Engagement reached out to the Balti Virtual team to help create cohesion between alumni and the clubs at UVA. To do that, AR Cav Man was written about in UVA Today, coasters were sent to alumni groups all over the world and the scannable target was hung up around UVA athletic facilities. Since completing this project, the AR Cav Man has continued to receive strong engagement on Balti Virtual’s platform.
